Little rust spots
« on: 17 June 2014, 13:14:29 »

Hi guys,

Going to be up Symes's this weekend with the lads to do the welding on the big areas of rustage.

And also going to be getting the surface rust off the chassis rails and treating those.

However, i do have a couple of areas where there's like a tiny little rust spot. one on the boot lid.... its about the size of a pea. Am i right in thinking that this will just need a bit of wire brushing, filler, sanded off and painted?

:)

Oh dear.

Well, either way i want them fixed so is there a different approach other than sanding/grinding out and filling?

i could of course replace the boot lid but i also have a couple of these little areas as you open the rear doors near the reaer seats and obviously i cant just replace those.

That's about all you can do tbh... back to bare metal, Kurust or similar, then seal with epoxy primer and go from there :y
