Right. Bit cheeky i know, but there's lots of computer types on here.
I'm looking for some DDR2 ram for my laptop, would like either
2x 1gb or 2x2gb. Think its 200 pin.

if this breaks any rules etc then, please remove or do what is required :y

I may have a stick or two knocking around in the office, not sure on size, or speed though.

I can check tomorrow and let you know. (I can't guarantee it's still good though, but if I have it you're welcome to give it a go gratis)

Beware paying for 2nd hand RAM, as most people think they can get away with not using ESP straps etc. You can't. That means a significant ratio of 2nd hand RAM is shagged, and fit for the bin.

I might have a 1Gb module up in the loft, but can't check currently. Would have come out of an HP 6820s if you want to check what was fitted in there (use Crucial's website)

Had a check today and I have 2 512 sticks and one 256.

You're more than welcome to them but I'm fairly sure the 512 sticks were removed as one was knackered -this was some time ago, from what's now a close to ten year old dell latitude.

As TB said, second hand ram is always a gamble (not one I'd take, unless it was ram I'd removed from another machine myself, and knew it was good) and I definitely wouldn't pay for it.

If cost is an issue but you want something that will work or can be returned, then something like this May do the job at £6.99 a gig

You'd need to double check compatibility though- that's just an example.
