I did enjoy watching Metallica and Jack White on the iPlayer last night.

Used to go and watch bands in my youth with many good nights out.

I looked at the line-up and mixed emotions for me. on the one hand Metallica..... worth the dosh on its' own. howsever the rest of the line up? wtf. ed sheeran was good. and dolly would have been worth a look.

kasabian??? saw them when they supported oasisat the new Wembley. what is all the hype, seriously???

Watched on the TV never been, Metallica, Dolly and the Kasier Chiefs great, also a big fan of the Manics though they did not get much air time this year. Already strong rumours that AC/DC have been blagged for next year.

I've never been, and kinda regret it..   

I think I should have gone in my yoot back in the late '80s when it was more about getting off your tits on dubious substances and free luurve with a bit of live music thrown in! 

I used to go to Reading in the very early days when it was called National Blues and Rock festival or something like that, and various others. Then no festivals for many years due to work, kids, life etc. Then started again when the kids were old enough to come along. Now the kids have their own lives so Mrs and I do one or maybe two a year. Download being our favourite.

But, never done Glasto and don't want to.
1. It's just too damned big
2. I don't camp and there are no cheap hotels nearby
3. Not my style of music
4. Can't be arsed with the scramble for tickets
5. It always rains

Kasabian and Jake Bug for me where two of the best live acts they had, Metallica were also very good.
