Omega 2.2 CDX oil leak
« on: 05 June 2014, 15:38:22 »

I have an 02 2.2 petrol estate that has developed an oil leak at the front end. It appears to be behind the bottom engine pulley, could it be a crankshaft oil seal that has gone? If so is it hard to replace?

Cheers

Hi Gordon,

Once you have the right tools and providing you can get the crankshaft bolt undone, then it's a easy job to do. Imo.  :y

Good luck with it.

Forgot to say that yes it's probably the Crankshaft oil pump oil seal. It was on mine. But make sure that it isn't your Camshaft oil seals first. I understand they do leak and then the oil runs down the front of the engine.
