Joking aside, if this advertising is approved by the admins, then why are these not entered into the "Recommended Suppliers" section?

The "General Chat" section seems to me to be the wrong section anyway for these adverts..

Ads not just in GenDis Lizzie, they're in other sections too - they'll be in the damn Gallery next   Needs stopping IMO

I wonder why?  Oilman as I stated before has not even 250 posts, and yet is allowed to advertise on a commercial basis.  Is he paying the admins commission to help with the running costs of the Forum?  If so, why not get Vauxhall to sponsor the site and advertise?  They, or another big commercial concern would make it worth the admins while!!

Sorry, I've been rather busy and haven't really been looking much at these sorts of threads. Can't speak for the other Admins.

OOF does not receive any monies from commercial entities here. AFAIK, Admin Team members do not receive anything different to OOF members when using these commercial entities.

I couldn't get the recommended suppliers section to work as envisaged. Its on my To Do list, but a fair way down the priorities of what needs to happen, and life kinda gets in the way a bit
