Hi,

In had my a/c vacuumed out, refilled (950 GM's) and was running great.

I was informed that there were no leaks when it was tested (1st regas in 14 years as had car from new  :D) so I was initially chuffed.

It's been a months or two now and it is definitely not chilling.

A/C compressor is turning but there is what can only be described as a "wheeeze" like sound from behind the front middle face vents.

I also notice that there is definite lack of water / puddle on floor from compressor I.e NONE.

Any thoughts ?

I had all done a Nigel Lang's when I had geo set up so I may give them a try again as I was otherwise happy with them.

Hummmmmmmm. :'(

Have you tried resetting the climate controls? It might be that the cooling is working but the flaps are not doing what they should.

Don't know what is causing the wheezing, unless (as above) the cooling is working (and wheezing) and the control flaps are all shut. :-\

Try the reset, press and hold off and auto until the flaps buzz etc

Humm, tried reset and no different :'(

Tried all vents for cool air and no different and no condensation on garage floor  :(

Compressor is spinning.

Supposedly its not got leak !, but it perhaps may which was not picked up, or leaky when tested ?

Any suspects ?

Anybody know any A/C Specialists in the Wirral / Chester area ? :-\ (Save me a trip to Bolton to garage I got it done  ???)

Numerous causes but the condenser is often at fault ime. Along with seals in the pipes to pump. They often show die under the pump. Although constant use seems to help the seals.

A good ac man should be able to diagnose it. Maybe take it back to langs?

I have always left Climate control on - Eco button almost never used  :y

I'll perhaps give Langs a bell and see what they can do.

It was Ice Cold when it left  :y

Are Condensers expensive ? and where best to get bits from if I need them ? :(

Condenser and drier. Looking at about £100 last I looked. There's some links on here somewhere. But get a proper diagnosis first obviously.

If it was cold when you left then its leaked out, or very little was re gassed. Ac can work at lower temps, but due to explanation, it can fail to cool as ambient temp rises if the gas level is borderline minimum. Ime.
