I've put a poll on this as I really don't know what to make of this story from the Ukrainian security services? My thoughts vary from conspiracy theory, Ukraine propaganda, to I wouldn't put it past the Russians to do this, so what do you lot think?

It seems unlikely that someone can be skilled enough to fire up the missile system in the first place, lock on to a jet travelling at 550 MPH and 33,000 ft and successfully down it, without realising that it's not a military transport plane on a relatively local flight.

Then again, there's so much BS being thrown around by all parties, who knows what's true?

and if you have any access to intelligency service archieves, you will see those are not conspiracy but the truth itself..


history is full of them , just go and read what has been done..

MH17 was shot down by Alex Salmond and the SNP as a favour to Russia to get some international support in the event that Scotland votes "Yes".    , but they thought it was Ukrainian as the SNP missile base in Airdrie is too far away for accurate identification.

today I talked to 2 ukrainians in the lunch time..


and obvioulsy/apparently I asked them some questions..


me: do you know when Ukraine will be a member of EU ?
answer : we dont know , but there are works and meetings on that subject


me: you have a common history , you fight against Hitler together you talk the same language why you want to seperate
answer : Russians hate us.. they see us like slaves


me: is there any obvious reason for russians to hate you ?
answer : we dont know


me : ok.. how do you know russians see you like slaves ?
answer : they control everything.. we worked in their factories for low salaries.. but we want to be free.. and higher salaries


me : do you know what will happen if you are accepted to EU ?
answer : not totally but we can travel freely and may have work there.. also trade will increase..


me : what you can sell to EU ?
answer: too many

I think it's just propaganda. Everybody can lie and they certainly do, too. Must admit though I am influenced by personal experiences, which aren't the best ones, in point of how the Ukrainian arrange their stuff and what an ordinary Ukrainian like. I've been spending there long weeks for 8 yrs now often trying to help my wife's family to arrange official cases so I see that hardly, what's more nothing changed things.    Maidan and Orange Revolution then Maidan again? Bullshit! The problem is not the system but the human attitude itsef, which does not change at all. Ukraine such as it's neighbour countries did have 20 long yrs to do something and comparing to others what did they do? We can say nothing. Why then? Cos anybody get a position, start at once even to thieve everything they see around theirself or to do "favours" for money of course (which is the corruption itself). It is true from nurse to doctor, from the doctor to manager of hospital but I could mention a simple nobody in the administration no matter at all as the trouble is coded in their mind off (thoughts, attitude or whatever) that won't be changed ever. Typical slavic mentality, the heritage of former Sovietunion. My view is Ukraine will be a hunchback on the EU as to change general attitude of a full society lasts more generation if it is possible at all.
