Much to 'er indoors' annoyance, I am glued to the judge's summing up in the Pistorius trial. Can't get any feeling as to how its going, guilty or not??

I can't understand a word the Judge mutters, as for your question I neither know nor care. ;) ;D

Said to the missus. 'He'll get guilty on lesser offences, but NOT guilty on murder'..? As to 'who cares'?   " I DO ". A young woman lost her life. NOT that it matters to many, unless its 'nearer to home'.  :(

Absolutely right Jusme, but in the context of what is going on around the world with thousands of innocents, especially children, losing their lives daily this one case is small. Sad, bad and horrible but just one death involving a celebrity  amongst so many.  That is what I certainly meant. ;) ;)

This case made me reflect recently on a time my wife and I were in a small hotel in Germany which had a balcony and we were only 2 floors from ground level.

Something woke me and I jumped out of bed seeing a figure coming in through the curtains at 2.30am and I rushed towards them shouting "get out of here" - then luckily realised it was my wife who couldn't sleep and had been sat on balcony but in the dark.

So I had not checked that my wife was in bed and just went for it - luckily I did not have a gun - but i would not have used it in Germany other than to point and ask them to stay still or something but in South Africa - completely different kettle of fish with all the murders etc???

Just made me wonder.

On hearing the verdict and experts giving their views on possible sentence, my missus said.' Think I'll buy a gun, pay for a trip to South Africa for us two, give you some laxative before bed'....?  :(

Never liked the tosser ever since he spat his dummy out at the Olympics over something which he did for years  >:(

Anyway, he should get 5 years just for his irritating whining voice  :D :D

+1  :D  Amazing outcome but even sentencing mite have a twist to it as he could get away without prison time  >:(
