MP expenses secrecy
« on: 02 October 2014, 19:35:01 »

I know you don't like political threads, but...there are things people should know, and not be covered up.
An idea is being floated to hide the names of MPs whose expenses are being looked into. And make details of expenses less thorough. IPSA says that this new level of secrecy aims to protect MPs from the "reputational damage" they would suffer because of "public scrutiny".

Its just a big game to them, at our expense. >:( (excuse the unintentional pun.)

I think you a right.

MP's seem to have forgotten that the public voted them in and can vote them out. They are after all your servant working for you.

They should be able to investigate without that investigation casting accusations. No?

Wow hold up I'm not defending the bunch of Tuesday's, surely you know Me better than that by now ;D

But.... Given the mess surrounding the subject the press will hve a field day, only, potentially, for the investigation to reveal no wrong doing.

....ok highly unlikely ;D , but that was my thinking.

I had to post this thread, contrary to likes or dislikes, because, as I posted on another thread, I have been investigated by HMRC, and have had a year of crap hell trying to prove my innocence.
To have those b******s getting away with murder, as such, really bites deep with me. I took some customers out for a meal as appreciation when I was self employed, for a pittance, and had the claim rejected !!!!!!
Sorry for the rant, but when you have worked your guts out for pennies, refused to go on the dole, even swmbo increasing hours to make ends meet, those MP's claim more in a year than I earned by sheer graft in two.

Breathe in......breathe out....breathe in......breathe out
