People do fall for these. Frequently.

Much like the Nigerian princes sneaking money out of a hostile country, if one person jn a thousand falls for it, theyve made their earnings for the month...

I get a lot of Failed Delivery notices from UPS and FedEx, unpaid EZ pass notices for driving on toll roads in the US and court summons!  ::)

My mate ended up with all the EZ pass bills from my meanderings in his cars!  :y

Can't work out how they got my email address though, unless he grassed me up!  ::)  ;D

Asking the faulty windows brigade if they could reputty the fronts or fit double glazing tends to tie em in a knot.

Mrs Gixer phoned Virgin yesterday, to double check. All calls to and from us where logged and genuine. Including the pc remote log in.

They do ring customers. :)

I was in the mire this morning. Again  ::)

Phone rang. I heard SWMBO discussing computer stuff snd asking questions. I calmly took phone from her . . . And screamed as loud as possible into phone. SWMBO was NOT amused. Not sure if she actually wet herself   ???

Technical Support do tend to use remote access to 'fix' PC problems.  It's much quicker and more efficient than repeatedly telling the numpty on the end of the phone where the Start Button is.  ::)

Obviously, make sure they are genuine.

We had a call saying they were from VM at 8.45 pm ...  >:( Completely bogus and bloke could not speak english very well or understand apart from the f/off bit  ;D
VM do make calls at that time, and their is no doubt that their grasp of the Queens chosen leaves a fair bit to be desired.
However, they generally only go that far once you have invoked a leaving process due to a persistent fault in order to get you back.
