As such, the Omega isn't a Vauxhall either, it is made by Adam Opel AG in Rüsselsheim, rebadged, and shipped over here.
Yip as were the Royale,Carlton and Senator...all Opels badged with a Griffin:y
The Royale was shipped over with no badges at all and badged in Luton!
Nearly all 'V' cars were Opels some even came with a Made in W.Germany sticker on the windscreen
Monza's were always Opels and the same shape Senator 'A' were Opel until late 84 early 85...when sales slumped and Maggie Thatcher was on her buy British kick...Opel very cleverly re-badged it as a VX and advertised it next to a British Airways plane!!
Worked a treat, sales soared, cause the majority of buyers thought it was British!
instead it came off a boat from Russelsheim complete with Griffin

Thats why you get both Opel and VX Senators...it was the same time the Opel dealers disappeared in the UK and became just VX!
Very clever marketing ploy by Opel...probably why the Senny 'B' sold so well along with the later Carltons....laying the basis that gave us the Omega!!

If the Senator sales hadn't increased in 85 who knows what might have been???
This is why my Omega is badged as an Opel....cause it is one!!
