As soon as I saw the cow on the mustang I really thought that it's had it's day now when they have to regurgitate the same jokes imo
:(

having said that id still rather watch that than x factor, dancing on ice, the voice etc.

Will watch part 2 but not holding out much hope.

I think they need to go back to the drawing board and start reviewing cars that normal folk drive with the odd supercar thrown in. the best review they ever did was the green ford fiesta where they deployed it in to the sea on the beaches of Normandy lol

They tried that before, and the beeb axed it for being, well, shite.  I remember the original Clarkson/Wilson/Needall lineup only too well.

I too wonder if the format has had its day - gone are the days I couldn't breath during the original amphibious attempt, and the £10 supercar trip from Bristol to Slough.

Exactly TB..... the £100-car trip to (I forget where) was awesome. That was the best cos its fun watching them break down in rust buckets.

And the Leyland episode was awesome too.

The problem is theres no mix of old, normal and supercars. its now all about the supercars which gets boring.

Having just watched the first part on catch up, it was poorly put together. Very fragmented in feel. Plus what is with Hammond, he looked constipated throughout. Also a complete lack of cohesion between the three.

I feel almost insulted by this patronising twaddle. It's almost as if they're saying "You'll swallow whatever we tell you to. Same old shit? Suck it up ".
Clarkson has become a caricature of himself. Hammond looks like he pemanently has something stuck up his arse and May just looks fed up, as if he knows it's all gone to ratshit.

I'd love to report that Pt2 was amazing and made up for the shite that Pt1 was.  I can't.

It was much, much better....... but that's like viewing Chelsea after watching Yate Town and saying Chelsea played 'more good'.

I am the worlds biggest Top Gear fan.   I have an annual subscription to the Mag, I always pre-order the DVD's, I even love Clarkson's column in The Sun.... everything to do with that show I always 'big-up'.

It's failed.  It's gone to the dogs.

5th Gear is a much better show.  They have got what Top Gear used to be..... 80% fact and 20% cocking around.  Top Gear has gone massively too far in the cocking around direction.
