removing Self leving pump

My  98  omega elite estate  mot is due and there is a list of jobs   including  leaky rear shock.  Now i am not buyingnew rear self levelung suspension  1. Too expensive  2  want a better ride less wallow  etc  so it is getting binned and swapped for  what ever it was recommened on the page i lost. Anyway  the pump which i belive is in the front behind bumper? Guessing  can i remove this  after fitting new suspension without any issue  ie buggering up  something elses that linked or setting of a vauxhall panic light .
 If there is a how to   i apologise  in advance

Simply remove the relay... Under steering wheel iirc...

You'll need to replace the SL springs to better ones. SL springs and std shocks is even more wallowy

New springs and shocks is a similar cost to new S/L shocks. And a lot more work. Although I can understand why you want to stiffen it a bit.

The car feels all over the place  to rolly poly . I want bit of stability .
i wont be towing so tow bar is coming off and if i dont need the pump  might aswell remove that it just excess weight im not neecing  not significant but  enough

That suggests that you have other worn components, I would say that the S/L is certainly soft but it isn't unstable.
It's highly likely that the rear subframe and trailing-arm bushes are finished, which does give that effect.
When I replaced my shocks(£100 the pair off EBay), it showed up the other problems which is often the case. New subframe bushes cured that.

Shocks are knackerd   one is leaking .   
 Is lowering it by 40 mm too much

Yeah i agree  new bushes will help   but i want a better handling car that doesnt feel so   soft really.  To be honest i am trying to decide is it worth   the work
need ne windscreen as its cracked on passenger corner at roof.
need chassi welded where steering idler bolts  on passenger side  granted can weld
new front tyres n tracking done
new suspension  rear is priority
rust on rear  panel behind passenge wheel
rear spoiler surfacerust around  fixing point

 Weird  running issue   around 1500-2000 rpm  can be on motorway  specailly on hills  or on slight inclines  if i floor it   itvdropsca gear and  goes fine.  I have to  push spirt button  to increase revs above  to stop it running like its  on 4-5-6 cylinder .
