Yeah i know its getting colder but even with the heating on its oppsing freezing in this house  Not till the cold weather gets here that you realise how draughty the widows and doors are .
Going to gaffa tape the rear windows up or sit in the mig

Thick frost still here on the car and ground .
Not the warmest of houses being solid 9 inch no cavity  As the winters get colder im more inclined to get the open fire going thats been boarded up , at least the was some decent heat thrown out

Well, yeah, there is a bit of frost (cars cleared as all started up earlier). Not been below -1C since 10am today though, and with the sun, feels warmer.

Cold House?

You should try Scotland! Last time I was this cold was the first 17 years of my life in Yorkshire.

Today it was cold enough to freeze the Ghillies off a Trossach

About twenty years ago we stayed in a stone cottage in deepest Wales.

No  heating whatsoever and only one room (with a blazing open fire) was warm.

My toothbrush would freeze to the sink and I would have to 'chisel it off' with a screwdriver before boiling the kettle to defrost the bristles.
