I think that sign Sends a strong statement to people that remember christmas many many years ago when you done christmas with your kids like i did; (santa came...we shut the doors and done xmas till new year..And the world shut down..All shops Shut etc ) its gone now.

That must be an era before I started work .. I've never worked anywhere that shut down over Christmas

Next year, if at all possible, I'll book all the days around Christmas as holiday..

Yup I worked many Christmas days in my yoof when i was a waiter.  All the staff pulled a 3 hour shift, that way no one person worked the entire day.  Plus it was double time and you nearly always got a snog from a pretty lass

Done the leicester to oxford round trip today... M1 J5a then the A43 through TB Land ...There is a Mcdonalds..Petrol station... and a hotel thing on that second roundabout.. And this is a sign i seen today ..

That looks suspiciously like Towcester (in amongst the roadworks, which start just out of camera shot).

Had it been the BP in Brackley, it would have said "Open 24hrs for coffee and M&S tat, but closed for anything related to travel, including fuel"
