Further to AndyB's post of the other day re-the war veteran"escapee"dying,I see his lady wife has also now passed away the other day.She died at the same nursing home as he,they'd been together 65yrs.Was it just her time regardless,or did she just give up?Can you actually die of a broken heart? At least now-if you believe in such things-they are together yet again.

I believe this can happen....i am so pleased that the gent did what he wanted to do against the so called do gooders that would not let him go to the gathering...he must have died with a great smile on his face and was very content...His wife would have missed him a great deal and maybe was so sad that she too gave up and died of a broken heart..Such a loverly story of two people that loved each other greatly for such a great number of years and are still together although not here..god bless them both.

Apparently so this was a topic on the Jeramie Vine show on radio 2 yesterday. A cardiologist was featured stating that when a severe shock was experienced by a person the release of adrenalin can change the shape and the function of the heart and cause heart failure  :'(
