Signs were promising as I recall, but he doesn't really do the mileage to gauge long term reliability :-\ sourced from Allgermanparts iirc :y

I know what you mean, like me with my Halfords tools. I can review them, and say how pleased I am with them, after one use, but the real test is after ten years of monthly abuse, how to they stand up?

It's why I try and inquire how many miles has that part or this part lasted, rather than how many years - not that impressive if someone's only doing 500 miles a year to a couple of shows. So dbug, the gauntlet is thrown down - how many miles do you do??  :y

About 4k since fitting last summer iirc :y

Question was asked fairly recently... not surprising given how many people fall over at the GM prices :-\

Just been out and checked mileage - its actually done 6300 miles since breathers cleaned and cam cover gaskets replaced - one bank using £5 AGP gasket, other using genuine GM.  All dry and oil tight to date.

Coming up for cam belt kit soon.

Gauntlet - hahaha - how dramatic ::)

Not a lot in the Omega - my partner uses it in the main, particularly for transporting her racing dogs.

Quite a few though in the Jag - to the point where I'm still looking at potential replacements.  Loooked at a couple of more recent blown XKRs and a couple of the new shape 5 lit XJs.  Not going to rush as good second hand ones are a load of dosh.
