The actual securing thread is in the lump on the left hand end... bolt should go right to left in that pic :-\

Sticky out bit will come away, the new shock should slot it nicely... needs to be square though otherwise the bolt won't go in :y

On the insert on the B4's  :-\

No the bit left on the bottom of the mounting. The insert has been pulled off the old shock and stuck on, had the same on our old Elite Estate. Big hammer and wack it off.

Percy the persuader and a blast of Plus Gas worked just fine  :y

Right, that's both shocks off and the top holes taped up.
Time to get piggin wet and attack the underneath with the power washer  :D :D
