In the last 7 years I have changed my car 6 times.....5 omegas ,all 2.2 and one 1800 cc  vauxhall astra mk4 automatic elegance....with sat nav ..disc changer and all the rest of the bells...although a nice car, just was not the same so sold it and come back to another omega my eleventh in all....I cant find any other car that gives me the same comfort and reliability of my omega....although i must admit i do tend to do loads on them to get them running nicely and them get so bored that i sell them,,more often at a loss and then move on to the next omega....out of the 5 that i have recently had one one peed me off so much because of the heater would not work and i got so fed up of freezing my toes off and no matter what i did it never cured the problem so last month i took off loads of parts to keep as spares for my latest one and then scrapped the damn thing.. :y :D

I feel like a newbie, only got two  ;D.

I remember them coming out, and thought they looked beautiful. You just get a sense when a car company has tried with a car, they've really got a good team together, and not done anything radical, nothing that's "the first time a production car was fitted with ---" just everything was developed over a long time, since the V-Car platform in 1978 with the Royales, Carlton and Viceroy/Senator, Rekord, Commodore. They made incremental changed year by year, honing and improving what was necessary, and leaving alone the stuff that worked.

I just get a sense of that every time I drive / work on / look at an Omega.  :)
