Life's not fair
« on: 06 July 2008, 11:52:05 »

Finally got all the problems fixed on my miggy and was taking the wife and daughter's to their cheerleading comp in Brighton when large clouds of blue/white smoke appeared behind me.
Pulled over to check and there is oil weeping onto the exhaust from the driver's side of the engine. I then proceeded to weep in company with the oil.
Now been brought home to me that I lack three vital elements in keeping this thing on the road...enough time, the right tools, any mechanical aptitude.
As a result, once the weather picks up I will be taking a series of photos which i willl put up on my website with a link in the for sale section. It's a '99 2.5V6 CDX with (apparently) all the trimmings that has been LPG'd so should be worth something just for the gas kit.
Bought this as my Company Car (am self-employed so I make the rules) and am getting a Lease car instead, although that doesn't stop me having a NEW miggy...

Unfortunately as I mentioned above, my mechanical ineptitude means that I can make a 1 hour job last a weekend and still have to pass it to a garage to finish. To much else going on to pretend I can cope with even simple jobs on the miggy.

Auto, and I don't even have a clue what it's worth....since it is LPG'd I'm going to assume I can get over the £600 mark but from there it is unknown territory. If permitted on the site I would like to do something along the lines of an open auction for 1 or 2 days and would be willing to chip in some of the proceeds to OOF funds since you guys/gals have already helped a lot with what I have managed to do on it.
