Coolant level
« on: 05 May 2015, 08:29:06 »

The other day my coolant level warning came on so checked it and it's fine and the sensor in the bottle looks fine. Now this coincided with oil leaking out of the filler cap because some idiot mainly me hadn't done it up properly :-[

Question is would oil leaking out an going down the back of the engine affect the coolant level ie any sensors at the back?

Occasionally manipulating the level float using a suitable tool can bring the sensor back to life..... occasionally... well it worked on one that failed and I was going to skip.
