Queued long enough to get to MotoGP to know that F1 will be a disaster until every A and B road round there is dual carriageway. Like the A43 is now. (Thanks Bernie...)

Yes, it's a better spectator circuit but - as said on BBC earlier - it's too narrow. You've got to think that Silverstone is a better driver's track and more exciting TV.

A long bet, but I think F1 will be back at Silverstone in 2021.

Personally, i think Bernie is loosing his marbles.
Cant see anyway that this is a positive move for f1 fans. I have spectated and track dayed(on a bike)  both circuits over the years and silverstone is without doubt the better venu, dony is much to narrow for f1 cars to over take, access is a joke, facilitys very poor, and the attitude of the place gets right up my nose.
The best place to view dony for me is down craner curves. I would rather watch f1 cars through the complex at s.stone myself.
To ride tho, s.stone just about wins but is more expensive, pay your money, make your choice.

You wont recognise the circuit, its being totally re-laid and re-designed for the F1.

And probably lose a lot of its charm in the process :(

Narrow tracks? F1? Does it matter? With the current stupid rules for about last 7 or 8yrs, track only needs to be one car width, as they gay boys won't overtake anyway

sadly ,you are almost certainly right.i thought the old silverstone was better than the new one.i still remember keke rosberg doing his 150mph lap on a drying track back in the eighties, and lighting up a fag to celebrate when he got out of the car.gonads like water melons.

But on the other hand, just watched qualifying  and the Dony deal comes with obligations to improve the whole show at donington including access facilitys run off and lengthening the track. And that can only be a good thing, we will then have 2 f1 spec circuits.  Just a question of how long it takes them to sort it. Bloody ages if i know them at all.

rain is usually a great leveller,it would appear that hamilton has that senna like quality of superhuman feel in the wet, impressive to watch. :y.....if they removed a lot of the aerodynamic grip we could have a lot more overtaking.

My vote goes for sprinklers or a misting system for every Grand prix cct. I personally will impartially decide before the start the severity and incidence of "rain".

The drivers with ability show through.  I thought Hamilton was true class even though he had an off like others. Massa just confirmed what I have always thought about him.

Plenty of overtaking on Sunday.

Roll on the next wet race.

I think this just shows that, in the dry, the skill of the drivers is not being tested at all. Surely testing skill is what sport is all about?

imo the balance has shifted much too far away from the driver.far too much aero generated grip, carbon brakes deny chances for brave late brakers, too much electronic everything, engineers directing drivers from the pits via radio, pit stops almost removing the need to try to overtake,ex ferrari chief being number 2 at the fia makes a level playing field doubtful.vast sums of money involved always makes for less sport/more corruption.on the bright side -schumacher is long gone. :)
