Renewing a driving licence
« on: 18 May 2015, 07:21:59 »

Mince expires in July. Can I renew it now or do I have to wait until it expires or close to expiring?

Thanks

Before sending your license take a photo copy has there have been horror stories of driving groups being removed...not sure if true or not but best to be safe than sorry :y

Driving groups can indeed disappear. My motorcycle entitlement went awol-unnoticed by me until way too late to re-instate it-at some point during my many address changes. So yes if sending it off always take photocopies of both sides.

If i renew it now, will the expiry date change to May on the new licence, losing the two months? is that what you're getting at Phillip, old boy?
