Mine don't work unless key turned to first position at least,so always assumed they'd shut down as soon as key turned off.didn't give it a thought that there might be some kind of "delay" built in.Could be wrong of course!

Same length of time as the steering wheel radio controls stay illuminated if that helps. About 30 secs on both on mine at a guess.

Thats great thanks. I have my sat nav plugged into it permanently and had a thought is it on all the time. If so will slowly drain battery.

Does it work on the same circuit as the interior light, that goes off when you lock the car. If so, would have thought the circuit would be dead once the lock activates. Or as you say...with a delay if the car is not locked :)

I think it largely depends on which model multi-timer module was fitted as it appears they vary by the different answers on here!  ;D

There's probably a fairly wide tolerance on them too. It's not a precision instrument. ;)

That's true for the whole car. Like a well padded hammer!

I unplugged it after 5 minutes, got bored watching and waiting for the little green light to go out.

if you want a permanent supply lift the rear drivers side seat there's permanent 12v thereabouts.  think it may be for the heated seats, upstream of the rear heated seat timer.
