Well the little niggles continue but even after being loaned my father in laws S Type 3.0 V6 while my car was MOT'd, loved plonking my backside back in Miggy.

Now the temp in Scotland is reaching summer proportions (10 degrees+) , decided after owning the girl since Sept to put a guage on the A/C as it wasn't working - nowt there. Had a can of EZ Chill so CAREFULLY, topped up to the minimum - no more!!
Set the ECO to off, temp to LO, turned it up and lo and behold, ccompressor kicked in and off it went.

Thinking id be able to bask in cold air, jumped back in the car and waited..............and waited..............and waited. Stuck the guage on, pressure above min,- blowing warm air.

Checked fuses etc etc - still blowing warm air. Turned it off and on again - could feel everything engage- still warm.

Now- im fairly certain the previous owners paid no attention to the A/C- Ive left it for 2 hours, re-gauged it and it hasn't lost pressure (no leak?).

Could it be something simple im missing or will I require a full a/c service (ill avoid KW, ATS etc etc- heard some horror stories)

Obviously if its a diy fix then fine - just wanted to see if anyone else had that issue

Take it to garage, vac out, replace with correct full amount of R134a Refrigerant and dye (950g mostly - will say on radiator cover) and go from there.

Then check in the usual places for the signs of Green Dye. 

Mine held pressure for a few days, then went.  Condenser was goosed as evident from Green Dye all over it !!!

cheers mate- I definitely don't want to take a chance topping it up on my own - be worth the £45 to get it done - whether good or bad results!!!  :y :y :y :y :y
