.......No time today to look at egr valve...so started the car and as recently it hunted,,stuttered,,on tick over...anyway drove it all was ok as usual, and popped in local petrol station to refuel...put £40 in and continued on my way..each time car slowed down it ran like a pig...I did around 20 miles in it before returning home..and then i noticed the tick over had returned to normal,,,turned engine off and re-started it and it ticked over nicely,,,left it for two hours and then took it for a run to find that it appears to be ok now.(fingers crossed),,,then I remembered putting fuel in it around ten days ago at a Sainsburys petrol station and on visiting there half of the pumps were not available as the petrol tanker was in there refilling the tanks,,,so is it a coincidence that they had run so low on fuel that the petrol i purchased had water in it and now that has virtually used up and I have refilled with good stuff that it has worked its way through and will now be ok.......Would this have made my car run so badly on tick over and be harder to start or am I just hoping,,,regardless i will do the egr valve and give the old gal a good going over as the person who owned her before me certainly did not service/look after her at all... Thanks for all your good advice I have learned a lot from you all and hope i can pass this help onto others who are having problems with their migs,
