I used to live in Solihull, but don't remember that restaurant.

Sounds like a good place to eat 8-)

I believe it was a Yates wine lodge

Looks like the same kind of thing as Mio.  A few things out in the buffet, and you ask for the rest.  Probably good stuff, but if you don't know what to ask for then it's a recipe for frustration.

O belive me I know what to ask for with food.  ;D ;D ;D
We can make do with a few chinese dishes, but no hope with Indian.  Completely different from home!  (Better here though.  ::) )

Theo, I know what you mean but just piled a load of stuff on a plate and then the chef tipped the lot into a Wok, asked how spicey i wanted it then it was cooked within a minute..

My wife and I went to a similar sort of place in Colchester - it styled itself as a Noodle Bar, but it had all sorts of food - all the stuff we tried was excellent.

Best bit was that as we went in, they said "Ah, Old People - you can eat for half price" - so we did. :) :) :)

My wife couldn't decide whether to be pleased about the discount or offended that they'd taken her for an OAP :)

I am banned from every all you can eat place in a 50 mile radius  :-[

Apparently 'all you can eat' means 'all they think you can eat'  :'( :'( :'(
Tried the Indian on Castle, Northwich. All you can eat for £7 Sunday Lunch, they try to close if they see me coming ::)
