Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Association.
« on: 11 July 2015, 10:59:27 »

If anyone has been then you already know. If you haven't, then go. Put on your bucket list, save up, enter the draw, whatever you have to do to get tickets, but go.

There's no point trying to explain it, as its all been said before and non of it does it justice. It's not cheap, so bring your ownack lunch, hat, sun cream etc.

...just go to Wimbledon. Amazing. :y

I can't say the defeat of the surly uncommunicative Scot bothers me much.

He just seems pissed at the world in general. :-\

Oddly, the Tennis isn't the overwhelming thing. It's the dedication, attention to detail, size of the logistics and number of people involved (15people on court not including players) generosity to charity and minority groups, and the all round desire for perfection for the cause.

It could be Rugby or Football or any other sport. While there are very strict rules there is great integrity in how they are applied. The enjoyment of the sport is absolutely paramount.

Ultimately, when you see the focus of this is two bods batting a ball over a net, it's quite surreal and amusing, especially when all the line judges bend hand to knee in perfect symmetry for every serve, and the ball boys/girls run like crazed loonies just to pick up a ball ;D thing is, like the Olympics, we CAN do it. And do it very well indeed. :y

Is there any need for the girl players to wear knickers in such hot weather?
