I got a 02 elite with one of the last ones fitted and had that problem be very careful as the arms are very fragile an can break it is more than likely the solenoid it is under the parcel shelf and not accessible without taking the shelf out  :y I replaced mine and hey presto up and down and love it in this sunny weather ;D

Well if I need to faff about removing shelf it'll stop where it is... I'll have a look today and try to wiggle it free and give it a squirt of something.

Works then it doesn't and so on and so on... Can hear it clicking when pressing the button..  Amy thought's peeps?

Owning an 'ever so 'umble' MV6 I don't have the luxury of a rear blind. :'( :'( :'(

What! No blind? Retro fit one. It's plug n play all the loom is already the there.

(Good Dr spends too much time in general disrespect ;) )

2002 Elite here, so no blind  :(

But I do have rear tints  8)

They can be a right PITA though when they stop working.  :(

Sadly, once they start clicking(motor clicking not the electrical switches ticking on and off) , Ime its too late. There's a lot of leverage on the internal gears so they don't last too well. By the time you've removed it, looked at it, buggered about taking hits apart and re fitted clock springs that ping out, re fitted it, only to find it still doesn't work, may as well just wack a new/other one in.

They come up in sales or eBay sometimes.

But yours sounds like it's stuck. Trouble is it needs silicon lube or a white grease on the runners, which you can't do when it's down, and is bloody awkward at best when it's up.

Luckily enough I'm in work today and the fitter is going to take a look at it with me. The sound I hear when pressing the button isn't a clicking but more of a " buzzing" like its trying to move but can't quite free itself.

If you look for another and its a different colour you can take it off and put it on your parcel shelf also the top cover will slide off too just make sure you slide the donor one on as you slide the old one off or the blind will fly back into the mechanism  :y
