PLF climate panel bulb problem
« on: 22 July 2015, 12:43:39 »

Called today at Platinum Trowbridge for 5 PFL climate panel bulbs, part nos. supplied by TB. Man eventually returned with capless bulbs, unlike my black cap sample, all Vx supply nowadays he claimed. He had no holders for them. I returned home and checked my stocks. I have plenty of orange caps (1.1W) and green cap (2.0W), but no black (1.1W). What should I do?

the capless & bulbs complete with holder are different things ..... ie not interchangeable. The guide has some part numbers http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90571.0

So a Vx dealer has given him the wrong part - surely not!

Watching this thread with interest as I'm in need of replacing a few bulbs.

Correction, black bulbs are 1.2 watts. So I have 1.1s and 2.0s, but cannot get 1.2s.

Ahh, another hard to source PFL component!  :(

Is there an ebay/amazon LED option? Assumed these were standard fitting - or are you trying to keep original?

No, I am not fussy. All I want is to be able to read the temperature settings. Exisitng bulbs are 15 years old and blackened inside, like all instrument bulbs on old cars I buy. I imagined it was too specialised for  amazon or e-bay
