Multiram mess
« on: 01 August 2015, 14:48:06 »

Hi guys, all obvious  problems with my omega are sorted now so I needed to find another one :-* , yes multirams - none of two is working, there is vacuum when engine is running but no vacuum immediately after turning off. Been looking at multiram setup in engine bay and I'm confused :-\ , I replaced front vacuum tank with good one, vacuum present  at front multiram but not working. Rear multiram actuator has no vacuum in hoses so I suspect something is wired wrong way there....will post a pic or two if someone could see some obvious mistake there . And yes I took a look at vacuum hoses diagram in maintenance section but still don't see some things....sory.

And this one ....don't even know how this could make multiram work if vacuum hose goes into ICV hose :o All I did was keeping vacuum hoses in way they were when I bought the car but someone could have been messing with it before

this one goes onto the fuelpressure rail.

and the one on the fuelpressure rail needs vacuum.

Ok, I found front one working at high rpm - reving the nuts out :P But no movement at rear one. If i plug vacuum hose directly into multiram it works so the membrane is ok, but I don't get any movement if connected trough actuator. AFAIK it should activate around 1000 rpm for low torque.... Oh and system holds vacuum after I turn the engine off now

it will work now. it works under torque. use the kickdown when you are driving and at 4 to 5000 rpm it will open en kicks in.
