The guy who does my car has a small four man independent business and he charges £52.50 per hour. That may sound steep to some, but, as i am now unable to roll around on the floor in the rain and mud and i also trust him implicitly, i think, for me, it,s worth the cost. Also he really knows his Omegas thankfully. :y

I use small independent. I keep costs down by supplying all parts myself.

Oil and filter change plus fuel filter change plus cleaning brake pipes came to 30 minutes labour. £20.

Look at it this way, 10-15yrs ago, you wouldn't have contemplated changing the oil on a pair of £25k omegas, but now, its not an issue.  :y
Apart from when I fell off the bike and hurt myself for a few weeks, I've always serviced mine, and I've had it 12yrs...

The purpose of a free complimentary health check is to point out to Mr[or Mrs]customer that their tyres are ready to explode their brake pipes due to burst and a myriad other things which means unless they pay oodles more to have the faults fixed straight away they're going to die a horrible and excrutiating death.

Might be of  interest when you see how much can be saved. :y

Bought 4 x 5ltrs of 10/40 oil and 3 # paper filters from local dealer today....total cost including vat...£51=38 ;)

So just over £17 an oil change . ;D

Whilst they are not doing the 4 for 3 offer anymore at £8=25 + vat for 5lts compared to retail of £25=87 getting a bit dirty does saved you a fair bit of cash :)
