First computer used was a burroughs B6900, 32mb ram , was about the size of 12 double wardrobes!

Got my first in 1984, a spectravideo, which I upgraded to a massive 64k ram and ran MSX.

God I feel old  :-[

Apart from working on just about every make and model of PC since 1989 the first big machines I worked on where the Unisys A series mainframes, A5's and A10's... Remember the A10H comprised of two processer units, two memory cabinets and the boot microcode was on a shared disk pack! Moved on to various Unix boxes - Altos, NCR, Convergent Tech then finally on to Sun Sparcservers.

I feel old too!!!

First one was a Commodore PET.  I think it had 16K of RAM.  Input programs by typing in lines of code from a magazine...i cannot remember the name of the mag...and then saving it to cassette.  Big problem if you typed a colon instead of a semicolon. :(

zx spectrum (rubber keys) 48k. We paid the premium to have the extra memory!!!!
Saying that now sounds poncey as hell, but in 1984-5 it was true ;D.

Played "chuckie egg" and "elite" to death.
Still remember the nights at mates homes trying to copy tape to tape with a 5pin din lead. 3/4 of the way through it would always stop >:(
I remember buying C15 blank tapes in bulk

1st proper pc was £1300 out of currys (1993) with a 1gb hard drive. People used to faint when they heard a 1gb hard drive. Nowadays my phone's got 8 times the memory

I was more into programming on my ZX Rectum, rather than games. Indeed I learnt assembler on it.

Still enjoyed Manic Miner, then Jetset Willy once I'd got a 32k Rampack for my 16k model....

first my a TI-99 with speech module, all games and programs were cartridges so no loading time!  :y

followed by a BBC Master with dual floppy drives, separate keyboard and some ibm processor inside it.

Then a 286 with 4mb of ram and a 40MB HDD   :o :o

Wasnt until I got a 386 that windows 3.1 came along  ::)

I feel old!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

My first HDD for PC was 30Mb.  "I'll never fill all that up" (baring in mind I used to load Windows from floppy ;D

First time I came across Windows, loaded it up - rubbish - deleted it all to get more disc space.

It was really pants and no Deskview (or whatever)

Came across concurrent DOS not long after

Yup, definitely, you are old if you used one of those.   :)

I started programming on an NCR315 - 20K 12-bit words.  Filled an entire room.  Very advanced for 1967.

My first computer at home was a BBC B in 1982 - wrote a complete business system on that.  Could never save up enough to buy discs for it, though, probably because my second child arrived the same week as the computer.

Still got both of them. :)

Built a ZX80 from the kit, swapped the measly 1K ram chip for a mega 2K one!!  ;D
Then built a ZX81 from kit, and bought an original 16K rampack, almost the size of the computer!!!
Spectrum 48K, followed by a QL.... (bit of a sinclair freak..also had a 'black watch' (anyone remember them!)
Atari 520STE, before aquiring a 286Dx machine (real luxury  ;D ;D)

Still have all the sincleair machines, and they all still work, (except the microdrive tapes)

AAHHHHHH.... the memories... :) :) :)
