central doorlocking issue is driving me mad
« on: 11 October 2015, 20:32:06 »

Hi guys,
I been having issues with my central doorlock system.
The left rear one is pissing me off now. I tried the microswitch cure. Changing motor. Nothing helped so far. So last week i got another motor from a combo i got for free. i needed to convert the wiring and add a microswitch to be usable. The end result is again the same.
I can test it over and over without a problem but when i install the bloody thing it goes a few times and then it just stops. When i open it up its always on the switchside.if i turn it even as little as 1/4 turn it works again. At first i tought it might be the lock that causing it but theres no heavy point in the stroke it has to make to open or close.
I noticed that the mounting holes where the motor is bolted to is slotted. Do you need to set it towards the lock or the oposite way. Or did i forget something such as reprogramming or so.
Its so annoying

Are you sure it is the motor? Have you checked the wires between the door and the car body?

Flexing of the wires across the door hinges causes the wires to break eventually. :(

No i havent, because if i leave the motor in place and turn the big gear a little back (i made a little hole in the old housings side) it just works again. It seems that when it hits the switch it should get a extra pulse to move it back a little to be able to start. I think i will best use the old housing and cut of a side to see what happens when it seizes.
