A bit of advice please, lost PAYG mobile.
« on: 07 October 2015, 22:47:56 »

Mrs V has mislaid her mobile phone at a fairly inopportune time  (seriously ill relative). It could be down the back of a chair or gone. Not PIN protected and has very little money left on it and isn't automatically topped up. Good news is it is an 11 year old phone.

We don't know the phones unique 15-digit IMEI number. Never even heard of it till tonight!

Apart from the inconvenience - who remembers peoples numbers anymore, is there a way of getting the 3 phone company to provide you, at a cost, with another phone with the same SIM card data and same phone number?

If you had registered the sim then ring them... It is possible to have the same number issued to a new sim but any numbers etc are lost.

Don't know if it is registered to an address but suspect it is as we top that up and a 3G dongle via 3 website. If we were prompted for an address we would have put it in during setting that process up.
