Has my Dell laptop got nine lives  ;D or are Dells pretty much TD proof  :D

Hard to say. try submersing it in a bath of hot, soapy water for an hour or so, and then drop it from the top floor of a block of flats. If its rubbish, that should find it out.
I did that to a Dell (trying to use a laptop in the bath). Dried it out, and it worked for a while. Eventually blew up though.  :-[

:o :o You really should take a break now and again Jaime!! ;D
Its the only way to keep my post counts up ;)

Seriously, when I used to be oncall, you took phone and laptop into bathroom, as you could almost guarantee being called.  I was on a conf call when laptop fell in, god only knows what other people on the call thought.  A customer was on that call as well  :-[

It was, only fortunately PSU stayed dry, so only low voltage stuff got wet.
