Opel Omega B facelift - bonnet lock spring replacement
« on: 27 December 2015, 18:07:56 »

gentlemen,
I beg your pardon for such a silly question, but I can't figure out how to disconnect bonnet release cable from the spring. Have a look at the picture:

Could you give me a clue?
It's year 2000 Opel Omega B, and this procedure differs from years 1994-1999 models.

If yours is a FL (2000+) then it wont have the bolt or the cover plate as in the above guide, all you need to do is undo the cable retainer, unclip the spring stay, then turn the whole spring assembly 90 degrees and pull out from the top of the slam panel to reveal the attached cable.
