Round here other than the vans they're either Astras or Protons with gas conversion-you can tell by the rust stains on the rear quarters around the extra filler cap :D

Thanks for the info Jason, of course my train of thought was taking me down the route of just in vehicles alone, there must me many hundreds of thousands of pounds can be saved by simply keeping all just one year longer, but I imagine such things have been thought of and done.

I've no idea just how much the emergency services have/are being squeezed, to be honest, I'm of the belief that it doesn't matter how much it costs, so long as the streets are safe, the people can be rescued from crashed cars, Nanna comes out of hospital less sick than when she went in etc.. that's what matters. I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling cuting the Police is a good idea. Mind, it appears that there's only one person in the whole country that think cuts to public services are a good idea... unfortunately that one person happen to be the PM  ::)
