What's it take?
« on: 07 December 2015, 18:53:08 »

Mate of mine is a "technician" at a Ford dealership, and today had a Focus in for repair.Car is one of those keyless ignition types and customer had put both key fobs in centre console[on same key ring]and car had locked itself with him on the outside.Breakdown services managed to open it for him,so all good.So instead of separating key fobs and keeping one outside of car[or just putting both in his pocket or something]he cheerfully did exactly the same thing again and car locked him out :o Not best pleased when breakdown services charged him for second go at opening it for him :-[ Ok car shouldn't lock itself with key fobs inside, but surely you'd have thought he'd learn from first experience and not require a second go? ::)

You don't have much to do with the general public, do you?

This happened to wifey, costing me a 45 mile round trip with the spare key. But she had put her handbag under a load of stuff in the boot, so the receptor couldn't see the fob. It shouldn't happen if the fob is in the cabin.

Looking at the facts:

1) He bought a Focus
2) He bought one with poxy proximity security

And you're surprised he's a bit dumb :o
