Thermostat and transfer pipe
« on: 01 December 2015, 14:35:07 »

Looking at changing my thermostat in the near future. Just checking in case anyone has a genuine GM one gathering dust.

Far as I can tell it's part number 90502201 - there may be others?

Transfer pipe is 90411629.

I know they're 'not much' and 'pennies' from the dealers, but if I can chuck the money in an OOFers hand, then I will.  :y

Thanks in advance  :)

I have a "nearly new" genuine GM thermostat here, belonged to my spare engine and was only used for about 6 months.

Yours for £20 posted.  Transfer pipes are about £18 from Vauxhall.

Hi sjc, muchly appreciated  :) I'm provisionally sorted for the stat now, if anyone's got a 'never fitted' transfer pipe kicking around the garage I'd still be interested; but thanks very much  :y

I'm sure there'll be plenty of other bits coming soon from my wanted list, though so will bear you in mind  ;)

I rang t'uther day and I think, including the vat they're about the £18 that sjc said, on trade. I've scoured all OOF posts and thread regarding transfer pipes and it's interesting to read in the last 5 odd years how the price has crept up incrementally... they certainly were £10-12 at one time  :)
