Well looked after?
« on: 13 January 2016, 15:30:58 »

been looking to add an estate to the omega collection and whilst browsing saw an ad which contained this pic.

and whilst I appreciate you can't rely on a pic too heavily I'm impressed to see both strut nut covers, all 4 plenum bolt plugs, all 3 pieces of the top rad cover, battery bag and spongey thing on the iac valve are all still present on a '98 car.

Is that a gold estate ?  :-\ Whilst it all looks original , even the original clips to the hoses on the plenum breather pipes .. be wary they mite never have been off and blocked . Last 2.5 i bought looked similar but nothing had been properly serviced  :(

It's either been lovingly maintained with attention to detail, or never touched. If it's still running, I'd say either is better than having been poorly maintained by a bodger. ;)

We know the mechanicals on these cars can take some abuse and just keep working, cam belt changes aside, and that most problems are simple to resolve. If I were in the market for an Omega, condition of the body / structure would be my main concern.
