Two rear lights on each side of the car.  They are situated next to eachother and should illuminate with the headlight switch in any position except 'off'.

Since the car is a 1995 it could also be the light control unit that lives way up under the dash bottom of the a pillar. Had the same on my 95 estate. It always showed headlight/taillight even all the light worked. Turns out Opel recommended changing the control unit for a later more reliable version when people had this problem years ago. I got another control unit cheap from eBay and it fixed my problem. But i would change the bulbs first and clean the connectors to rule that out.

Pretty 8)

To be clear, the pillars connect the roof to the floor... Coupes have B pillars but they stop at the window line, like wise C pillars on convertibles. Small hatchbacks don't have a D pillar,  ;)

Hi all, well after going round all the bulbs. One of the rear passenger side lights has a bad connection so cleaned it up,seems ok now.But when i checked the drivers side, side light it was not on.So i took it out pushed it back in and it came on,so to try to give it a better connection.I sprayed switch cleaner on it,now it wont work at all.Can anyone tell me what type of bulb it is,and how i can test if i have power going to it.I do have a multi meter.Regards Dean.

It's written on the bulb holder, as i recall. Here's a list...

Headlights - dipped beam = H1 or HID
Headlights - main beam = H1; HID or Projector (98 model year onwards) = H7
Fog lights = H1 (pfl)
Side light, Side indicator = W5W
Front indicator, Rear indicator = PY21W (Amber)
Brake light, Reversing light, Rear fog light = P21W (Clear)
Brake light / Tail light = P21/5W (Dual filament)
Tail light, License plate = R5W
Rear internal light, door light, boot light - C5W

(copied from another OOFers post some time ago, apologies, I give credit to whoever wrote this info, twas not me  :))

Ahh, yes, that was copied, but edited for my own purposes (obviously no need for me to know what an estate needs, so I deleted it  :y)
