repair top mount

i want a guide for the repair of top mount .
I searched the site , but i did not find.

Do you mean the top front suspension mounts?

In that case:


Remove the entire strut from the car.


Use robust, properly fitting spring compressors to safely compress the spring. This is the important part of the job, you can badly hurt yourself using poor equipment.


Undo the nut on the top of the strut.


Remove the top mount and bearing.


Replace them with new; I doubt you'll see any damage to the top mount until you compare it with a new one - they compress in use.


Tighten the top nut.


Refit the strut.

That's right I removed mine which looked ok but when compared they were definitely more compressed
