Looks kind of like the early kit cars with home made body shells. You made the mould from hardboard, and what came out was basically straight panels with a few gentle curves. Not bad really for someone working in his garage in his spare time. I remember repairing a mini fibreglass front with some cardboard and lots of fibreglass. :o :o ;D ;D

The roof shape looks almost merc like. I remember the SD1 "borrowed" its looks from a Ferrari.

Many years ago I used to own an MGB GT V8. The engine was lovely, as was the performance. But the handling was very antiquated. :-* :-* :-*

The SD1 was styled by an Italian in Italy in the very early seventies  :y
