The self levelling motors live inside the headlamp unit
Outside the unit. They are a "twist fit" in the back of the unit :)

Ah, ta, Mr Rob  :)

...... one of which turned my red MV6 away before the test as I had fitted 'slightly' blue LED sidelights......changed them for standard and then changed them back after the MOT :)
...... contrasted with 'my' tester that couldn't give a monkey's .... even when I pointed mine out to him.

Thought I'd take mine in for a pre-mot on the emissions (as my catalytics are on the way out, I reckoned) I was buying some Omega bits off him, and when he stuck the sensor up the backbox and we discovered it was still within tolerance, I inquired whether he wanted me to run it to 2k rpm, to get the other figure. His answer was
'yeah you can, if you like'
After looking over the new results he then confessed
'I don't tend to bother with testing them at 2 thou, if they're ok at idle, they're normally fine with a bit of revs on. It's only another four dead daisies.'  ;D ;D 'it takes more pollution to make one of them things that it chucks out the back pipe in its whole life. Keep another one on the road.'  :y

note: he's a very good tester, and will ensure to the nth degree the important bits, brakes, mechanicals are spot on, by the way.  :)
