Said Goodbye
« on: 11 April 2016, 21:46:23 »

To my Miggy today, another one gone to the great scrapyard in the sky  :'(

And with the price of scrap it was a right job getting rid of it too, it had to be complete or not at all.

I`m sad to see it go but it wasn`t worth putting the money in to it but it has been a great car for the last five years and I now find myself not owning a Vauxhall for 29 years.

But roll on Sunday and I`ll be grinning from ear to ear.

Is there such a place anymore?

It`s not bad where I am, at least I`m not in the east or south of Leeds which are just Sh!tholes.

Mixed scrap is about £0.10/Kg

Even driving a car to the frag is hardly worth the detour at the moment.

Not far from Charles Muddle here, they collect for free and their only stipulation is that it has four wheels on it so that it might be dragged onto a flatbed.

The annoying this is that when I went to collect my alloys the car was already lined up for cubing and I had wanted the front seats to make a couple of computer chairs so why they insisted it was complete is beyond me  :-\
