Didn't they remove licence keys from later ones? Or is that just for specific editions of Windows?

For the upgrades from Win 7, 8 & 8.1 I think windows is either activated or not, it only shows a product ID in control panel not a license key although people who decide to but it after the 12 months window might need a license key.

Shows product id and licence key for Windows 10 in my current version (8.5b)

If it was a free upgrade from an earlier version, it'll be the same key as everyone else who has done the same...
