Changed my route to/from work slightly and down one of the roads I now use there's a house which has a silver Y reg 2.6 CD,an 02 reg CDX in fast black[engine size unknown as it's backed onto the drive]which has bin bags poking out from the rear edge of the bonnet ???and a further fast black F/L of unknown year engine size or spec as it's further back up the drive and partly obscured by a pug 309.

Just a heads up ...............

It may be a totally different person but quite a few years ago, we had a member who used to do repairs for OOFers etc from Scunny.
Quite a few members thought the sun shined out of his arse.
That member ripped quite a few people off on here over parts / money and even shit on his friend who went out of his way to smooth things over  >:(
He also doesn't know the difference between V6 cylinder heads  :-X

Just something to bare in mind if / when you talk to him  ;) ;)

I actually got something from that member, and actually found him pleasant to deal with, I do try and judge people as I find them, and not listen to gossip or others' accounts of whether people are 'good' or 'bad' but I fully appreciate there was too many and too much bad experiences from others on here for it to be mere accident or hearsay.  :(

It was a heads up based on personal experience and what I know to be fact.
Not hearsay or gossip, because the last thing I would want to see is anybody on here get ripped off by anyone.

People are more then welcome to have a different view as is the way of the world but my conscience is clear  :)

Of course all that above may be 'dangle berries' if we are talking about a different person but since scunny is a small place, I very much doubt it  :(

Oh, I wasn't suggesting what you were saying was 'gossip' , unfounded, or anything of the like, mate  :) I just meant as a rule in life, in general, if someone says 'he's a tool, don't talk to him' I try and judge myself, and give people the benefit of the doubt. But in this instance, in spite of my own personally positive experience with 'him', I'd have to er on the side of other OOFer's opinion, agree, and say, yes, "keep away"

As you say, could be a completely wrong guy  :) but by the same estimation, it sounds like it is 'him'

Bit of mis-identification on my part, the car furthest up drive and obscured by Pug appears to be a M/F/L at latest going on bumper and door mirror shape.Guy also seems to own an 06 Vectra. The two black Omegas don't appear to have moved in quite some time. Was going to either call or pop a note through his letter box about oof etc.but don't know that I'll bother now!

I suppose that with such a large "membership" the law of averages would be that at least a few would be "wrong uns" although I must say that of the few that I've had personal dealings with they've all been firmly in the "good guy" camp and from posts I've read by far and away the good guys out weigh the bad by a vast margin. In fact have all the bad guys been weeded out as I've not heard of any as far as I recall?

He used to be very good but, unfortunately, things slipped. I didn't have dealings purely because I didn't think the price was fair, but I would have done if we had done a deal. But judging by other people's experiences (and I mean people I know, have met and call friends) I had a lucky escape :-X ::)
