hi all.

went to try and start the old girl today but it was having none of it the key just wouldn't turn,

it has been getting a bit temperamental lately .

then had an idea to try my spare key that I have never used it works fine.

so I guess its the key worn,

so my question is what is the best way of going about getting a new key cut as im guesing that the fob has some sort of immobilizer chip in it.

The key is the cheap, easy part to replace. You buy a new 'horseshoe' which is the blank and have a new key cut. The immobiliser chip just clips into the plastic part of the horseshoe, and the remote slides in to complete everything.
