LPG and the congestion charge?

wondering if anyone could give me a heads up please. ive heard that LPG  converted cars are exempt from the CC. is this true for the 3L elite estate? if so...how do i go about finding info about this

ALL cars or vans that can run on lpg are exempt from the charge but you must first register with transport for london on the webb site for your car to be exempt. this can take some time as the site/ tfl are not the brightest sparks in the land and almost ask you for your inside leg size. ken was going to abolish this concession but boris in his campain to become the big cheese said that he would not but with all politians we will wait and see. ::)

First tho.....you will have to jump thro hoops with the the dvla to get it on your V5 thats its lpg.

given the pathetic work done to my car that can barely be called a conversion and a very amateur looking certificate, i found it worryingly easy to get the DVLA to re-register mine

I think you'll find that only cars on the powershift register, with the approved kit manufacturer are actually exempt. Not entirely sure but seems to tickle a nerve somewhere in the back of the grey matter!!  :-/ :-/

The last time I checked with them (about a year ago), only cars that where on there approved list would qualify. The Omega v6 wasn,t on there list.

Ether way cars on the list have only got about another 18 months of CC free before they scrap the idea anyway?
